William Wilson wakes up in prison.
Quite disoriented, he attempts to remember why he might be in prison, but to no avail.
Through reminiscence, deep thought and flashbacks, his situation becomes clear to him. He shares these memories and incidents with the audience, until a final, shocking revelation makes it clear what the reason is for his imprisonment.
Short stories by Edgar Allan Poe are interwoven in this one-act play, which can easily be comprehended due to the fact that the spoken word is in easy English.
The stories are, at times, mixed up with one another, otherwise adapted, but always true to Poe's style.
